Happy Canada Day
Of all the nations in all the world, Canada is our home. From the Atlantic to the Pacific, to the North; almost 10 million square kilometres of this globe belong to the red, white, and maple. Although we are a mere 153 years old and just a youngster on the world stage, we have made quite an impact on our little blue marble and beyond. We, at The Pot Shack, wouldn’t live anywhere else!
Here’s what some of the Shack Mates had to say about why they love Canada:
“The vastness of beauty and terrain! We’ve got waterfalls, sand dunes, mountains, deserts, forests, huge rocky cliffs, and 3 oceans!” – Carlene
“Healthcare! We take care of those who need it. It’s just the right thing to do.” – JJ
“I love the rocky mountains. Also cobra chickens.” Ashley
“Legal marijuana! We are the first Western civilization to legalize cannabis and honestly, I couldn’t be happier!” – Andrew
“All of it. I love it all. I don’t know how else to put it.” – Tim
“We’ve got such diverse groups of people in this country and that makes me proud to call Canada home.” – Jen
“The outdoor recreation is amazing. No matter where you are in this country, there is some great nature to enjoy.” – James
“I really like that we have so many different landscapes. But nothing beats a Saskatchewan sunset. Also maple syrup!” – Connor
Now, the year 2020 has been a bit of a bumpy road for our country with COVID-19 striking hard and fast. Every single person in this country has been affected by this disease. But thanks to our healthcare workers, doctors, scientists, disease specialists, and essential workers, we have been able to push through as a nation. We are not out of the woods yet but every day we are getting closer and closer to the end of this horrible pandemic.
So for this Canada day, we would like to say a huge thank you to all those working on the frontlines, the essential workers, the teachers, those in every facet of healthcare, and to the scientists working on a vaccine. You are the ones who kept this nation rolling through one of the worst pandemics the modern world has seen. You have our sincerest gratitude, applause, and recognition for the amazing work you have all contributed for the betterment of all peoples in Canada.
Thank you and Happy Canada Day!
Merci et bonne fête du Canada!
